Disclaimer

Unfortunately, we live in a litigious society and we can no longer share or put ourselves “out there” for others without first protecting ourselves. So, please forgive my disclaimer…. I wish I didn’t need one.

I am not a doctor, a lawyer or a financial planner and I don’t play one on the Web (or TV).

That title is meant to make you chuckle but, in reality, I want everyone to understand that this is my journey and my journey alone. If I write something or if I find some research that helps you in some way, then I feel good but, if it does not speak to you or help you then please discard it. It is important that every decision that you make is your own and one based upon your own research. I really believe everyone has an individual path and that we must find our own destiny. Please see me as simply a fellow traveler that is walking along side of you on this journey and is willing to share his stories of success and failure.

All of the information presented on this website should be regarded as simply friendly opinions based on my personal experience and research. I will do my best to make sure that the businesses that I allow to post content on my website are not fraudulent BUT with that being said I cannot vouch for anyone. If you purchase a product or service that you think is fraudulent then please take it up with the seller. Also, please notify me so that I can contact them and discuss it. DISCLOSURE

I’m using the following modified disclosure that I copied and modified which has been copied and used all over the internet.

Why do I have paid ads on my website?

Well, I have to be honest, I’m hoping to off set the cost of my treatments and maintaining this blog. Cancer is a pretty expensive disease which is why I have decided to try to help others. 🙂  I started this primarily to share my experience and information with anyone who wants to know.  Ads that generate income, affiliate programs and sometimes the products that I might sell help to cover the costs involved with running this site. So if a company that makes a product I love wants to advertise I say “Yes!” If I can provide a product that you find valuable then I will list it.

That said, beginning December 1, 2009, the FTC requires bloggers to provide disclosures whenever there could be hidden interests or unspoken biases related to recommendations.

If I ever interview someone and they grab the bill for lunch, I would need to specify this, as I would if I used an Amazon link that gets me 8 cents instead of an Amazon link that gets me no cents. If someone gives me a sweet t-shirt with a logo and I wear it in a photo, ditto. Disclaimers all over.

To cover my bases and to preserve your reading experience, please assume that, for every recommendation, link, and product I use, the following all hold true: Writer got fed, got some gadgets, got paid, got stock options and/or promotional items. There ‘nuf said.
